THE BASIC, SEED ISSUE

As a little child growing up in Chicago, I remember a trip to the Field Museum.Of all the exhibits that I saw that day, the vestige of one in particular remained in my memory. It is of a tiny, dead baby on display, suspended and preserved in a bottle of murky liquid. Shocked and appalled, I'm sure that I was changed by that lasting impression, but not for the better.

Rumors about scientific medical experimentation in W.W. II on humans that were war camp prisoners first made me really aware of that 'mad science'; the vile influence of which has continued in such present day practices that include the manufacture of human embryos outside of the womb for child bearing: some of which are destined for discard and destruction. In this, mankind is come full circle in opposition to His Maker, in his production of human life for purposes that may include destruction at the decision of the ‘parents’ to reject it.

Indeed this is the horrific stuff of human venture, when one is sensitively able to focus on the reality of the assault on innocent human life being forced to endure the plight of cruel destruction that takes place in those circumstances.

And for the outraged many who are not willing to accept this so called ‘advancement’ in medical science, the price is far too high in its assault on a people's capacity for human decency, on faith, and on our peace.

Now these manufactured embryos are up for grabs in the project of stem cell research, which uses the individual cells of the discarded embryo that relate to the various bodily parts/functions to find cures for diseases. This research with its serious moral implications has not been proven to benefit this cause, yet, pending, the taxpayers of the United States are being called upon to pay through Federal funding for this extreme practice that so many are against.

This research is already taking place without Federal funds; and there are other cell research projects in the works that involve, without the destruction, umbilical and adult tissue, which have had some positive results.

Unfortunately, we must consider that when these large Federal funds are given, whether we can trust that some will not find covert ways to manufacture more of this unfortunate and innocent life, strictly to exploit it and to advance their business purposes.

The reasoning in the secondary issue of the use of embryonic stem cell research on those that are destined to be discarded like refuse anyway, is the progression that is faulted by the primary issue that precedes it, which is that of the manufacture by man of human life for purposes that may include destruction; which is morally, not acceptable for any reason.

Certainly, medical science has been Blessed to find many cures through research that do not involve the sacrifice of human life in any stage of existence. These will continue to be forthcoming with GOD's Blessings, with prayer and when mankind relies on His Good Will and Higher Intelligence and Power that Is far Greater than his own for all his cure and salvation.

At that day shall a man look to his Maker,
and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.

Ask and it shall be Given you;
seek and you shall find;
knock and it shall be Opened to you.

... and your righteousness shall go before you:
the Glory of The LORD shall be your rereward.

All should righteously, mercifully consider the seed issue which is the Truth and eternal Reality of the Will of our Good GOD; and It means business:

“You shall not kill.”

Anything else is garbage.
