We like talking about the great good of the United States of America. It's easy to focus on her admirable ways, like her striving for and achieving more tolerance in a nation comprised of many separate original nationalities; her generosity and general and improving concern for her poor and needy; her system of justice in wanting fairness to prevail and one that allows people to be heard and their grievances recognized; her prosperity and abundance in goods available; and her charitable concern for the rest of the world that often is largely taken advantage of, misused, and oftentimes severely unappreciated.

For we that live in her, these Blessings and good qualities are taken for granted, and easily understood.

But it is her dirty laundry that is so prominently and so often displayed, through the media to the world at large, that makes us a lot of misinformed, one sided critics and even, potentially harmful zealot enemies.

"THE MAIN TROUBLE"
(Reference below is made to the unrelenting media and partisan coverage of the lambasting of the Rep. Senate Leader, 2002)

No, the main trouble is not in her lack of  (for the most part) a helpful, generous and welcoming spirit, but in that unrelenting, power hungry partisan beast that is alive and unwell in American politics, fueled by much of the broadcast media, consistently pouncing and over doing dissension to the point of capability to cause madness in negative redundance; and now is with no qualms, it can be noted, mucking up that which should be a good time for us all: the Holiday Season.

Breathe, Beast, breathe. It's bad enough at election time; one could concede that to you, but give it a rest at the peoples time, Holiday Time, our Holy Days, our LORD's Time.

Many other peoples in other nations honor their Holy days. They show genuine respect and gratitude for their Blessings, as they try to unite in family and good will amongst themselves. What do we look like here, as we relentlessly squabble and slander and create havoc even in a time when love, tolerance, repentance and forgiveness are and should be magnified and setting a good example in our Holy Time?

Psalms 46:10; Colossians 3:15
   Be still and know that I AM GOD. ...
I will be Exalted in the Earth.

And let the Peace of GOD Rule in your hearts,
to the which also you are called in one body; and be you thankful.

 ...Thankful and not negatively taking for granted the great good that we enjoy; and if everything's not good enough yet in some respects, truthfully consider that we are a progressive, reforming nation; and that patience and truthful reason are far more expediently productive than chaotic dissension.

Be thankful that at a critical moment in time, we are Blessed with strong leadership for: "...unprecedented challenges, and we're facing them with unmatched technology, careful planning and the finest traditions of valor. ..."  President George W. Bush.

Be thankful, remember the heartache of 9/11 and pull together in this critical battle; and even you, Beast, might salvage your posterior.
