Aug. 31, 2001   SPECIAL REPORT - The American Center For Law & Justice has issued the following e-information:
On July 24, 2001, the House Judiciary Committee forwarded the legislation - called the "BORN-ALIVE INFANTS PROTECTION ACT" (HR-2175) - as part of the Patients Bill of Rights.

This legislation will outlaw the insane practice of sending unwanted babies to their deaths once they are outside the womb.

This is not about partial-birth abortion, as despicable as that is, or unborn babies. These are live children, delivered and unwanted - and then left to die by abortion clinic staff!

Congress has recently heard horrific testimonies in support of this "Born-Alive" act:

One nurse recounted how she cradled and rocked a dying 22-week-old Down's Syndrome baby in a hospital's soiled utility room where he had been left to die.

For 45 minutes, she listened as he struggled to breathe ... and when he died, she wrapped him ceremoniously in a shroud and took him to the hospital's morgue, where other dead patients were taken.

Now is the time to a act to make a difference. Make sure this important bill passes through the full House and the Senate to become law!
